Programs​

59

USEK offers ~57 undergraduate programs across 12 faculties and 2 institutes.

Instruction is primarily in English or French; the Faculty of Letters and the Pontifical Faculty of Theology also run programs in Arabic.

The main campus is in Kaslik (Jounieh), with a dedicated Hboub Medical Campus for the Faculty of Medicine and three Regional University Centers in Chekka, Rmeich, and Zahlé.

USEK uses a modular credit system compatible with both US/Canadian and European ECTS standards. A handful of programs run two parallel sections (English / French) and appear as separate rows below where the program slug differs.

USEK runs two undergraduate admission tracks — Scholarship Admission (early; eligible applicants are considered for merit scholarships) and Regular Admission — plus distinct windows for Engineering and Graduate programs. The application portal is apply.usek.edu.lb.

Difference between tracks

Scholarship Admission
apply by April 29, 2026 to be considered for USEK's competitive merit scholarships (administered alongside the entrance exam).
Regular Admission
main window for general undergraduate applicants; deadline July 15, 2026 for Fall 2026-27.
Engineering
separate competitive entrance exam (≥75/100 to pass) on June 4 or July 14, 2026.

Tuition (AY 2025-2026)​

All figures are in USD per credit. Per-credit cost is based on the school/faculty that offers the course, not the student's home faculty. For Fall 2025-2026, tuition is capped at 85% of the standard rate; full 100% rates resume in Spring 2025-2026.

Requirements​

SAT​

USEK accepts the SAT as a substitute for its own entrance exams in eligible programs. Per Lebanese MEHE thresholds, freshman applicants need a minimum SAT of 870 (Arts) or 950 (Sciences).

Program-specific exemptions

Math entrance exam
pass at ≥70/100 to be exempted.
Engineering entrance exam
pass at ≥75/100 (required for FI admission).

High-school grades​

  • A recognized secondary school certificate is required: Lebanese Baccalaureate, French Bac, IB, etc.
  • An equivalence from the Lebanese Ministry of Education is required for non-Lebanese curricula.
  • Some programs accept the SAT as a substitute for entrance tests.

French proficiency​

USEK is bilingual; many programs are taught in French or are French-track sections. French proficiency is demonstrated by either:

  • DELF B2 or TCF B2, or
  • An average of ≥10/20 in French during Grades 10 and 11.
