Programs​

NDU's degree list shows 59 bachelor's programs across seven faculties: the Ramez G. Chagoury Faculty of Architecture, Arts and Design (FAAD), Business Administration and Economics (FBAE), Engineering (FE), Humanities (FH), Law and Political Science (FLPS), Natural and Applied Sciences (FNAS) and Nursing and Health Sciences (FNHS). The list also shows 45 minors and two Teaching Diplomas. As of September 2026 NDU's Undergraduate page counts "67 undergraduate programs" and reports 4,511 students enrolled, and its Admissions page counts 26 accredited programs; NDU does not reconcile these figures with its degree list.

Three campuses: the Main Campus in Zouk Mosbeh (about 15 km north of Beirut), the North Lebanon Campus in Barsa, Koura, and the Shouf Campus in Deir El Qamar.

NDU is a private, non-profit Catholic university that adopts the American system of higher education, and applicants must show English proficiency (see Requirements). It has been institutionally accredited by NECHE since 2018. ABET accredits the Bachelor of Engineering programs in Civil, Computer and Communication, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (Engineering Accreditation Commission, since 2016 and reaffirmed in 2022) and the BS in Computer Science (Computing Accreditation Commission, since 2018 and reaffirmed in 2024). NDU says its Faculty of Business Administration and Economics is accredited by AACSB (its degree list tags 10 of the bachelor's programs), and ACCA accredits the BBA in Accounting and in Banking and Finance. The Bachelor of Architecture was granted a two-year term of NAAB Initial Candidacy in May 2024, which is not accreditation.

Application Types + Windows​

NDU's last published Fall 2026 application deadline (the extra session, Jul 27 to Aug 25, 2026) has passed and classes began Sep 1; the cycles still ahead are Spring 2027 and Fall 2027. NDU admits students for the Fall and Spring semesters through an Early Admission round and Regular Admission rounds. For Fall 2027 NDU publishes one application timeline, Dec 7, 2026 to Jul 20, 2027, with four rounds. Applicants who do not submit standardized test scores take the NDU Entrance Exams (English Entrance Test and Math Aptitude Test) on campus on the exam date of their round. Only complete applications are reviewed, and decisions are made by the departments and faculties. NDU's Undergraduate page still shows an older box for Fall 2026 (Regular Admission I, February 3 to March 4, exam March 7); the Important Dates page is the current one.

Notes on the table: for Spring 2027 NDU publishes only the entrance exam date (in its academic calendar) and new-student orientation and registration on Jan 11, 2027; it gives no application deadline. NDU gives one application timeline for Fall 2027 (Dec 7, 2026 to Jul 20, 2027) and a deadline for each round, but no separate opening date for each round. Difference between rounds:

Early Admission
apply by the Early Admission deadline, with the application fee paid and every required document submitted, to be considered for the 20% Early Admission Scholarship (see Scholarships). For the Fall 2026 cycle NDU scheduled the letters of admission for Feb 23, 2026, once the file was complete and the applicant had sat the entrance tests (Jan 31, 2026) or submitted standardized test scores; it has not published the terms for the 2027 cycle.
Regular Admission I, II and III
the main rounds for Fall 2027; each has its own deadline, exam date and decision date.
Spring
a mid-year round, with its own exam date (the Spring 2027 exam is on Dec 5, 2026).

How to apply: (1) apply online at sis.ndu.edu.lb/iApply; (2) pay the application fee of $30 online or on campus; (3) submit the required documents by email to admission@ndu.edu.lb or in person at the Office of Admissions before your round's decision date (the Early Admission Scholarship asks for them by the round's deadline); (4) take the entrance exams unless you have submitted test scores (fees are paid online at sis.ndu.edu.lb/oar or on campus); (5) wait for the evaluation; (6) check your result at sis.ndu.edu.lb/oar with the ID and Candidate numbers on your admission ticket. NDU's Application Process page is not consistent on the exams: its step says applicants with SAT, IELTS or TOEFL scores skip the entrance exams, while the same page and the requirements page say only a valid SAT Math score replaces the Math Aptitude Test (SAT, IELTS or TOEFL scores replace the English test); ask the Office of Admissions which tests apply to you.

Tuition (AY 2026-2027)​

All figures are in USD. NDU's Tuition Fees page states no academic year (checked on September 26, 2026). Its Yearly Schedule page introduces the payment schedule "for the 2026-2027 academic year", and its Policies page gives the same $1,100 first payment as the fee table. The per-credit rates below are the same as in the 2025-26 page; the first payment, the technology and student services fee and several other fees are higher. NDU says credit fees must be paid in full in cash in USD.

How to pay: in cash, showing your ID number, at any Byblos Bank or Bank of Beirut branch or at the NDU Business Office; through Byblos Bank ATMs at any time (Cardless Transactions, then Tuition and Payment Services, then Notre Dame University-Louaize); or through OMT or BOB Finance branches (Main Campus students only). A delayed installment costs a $100 fine. A student who has not paid by the deadlines is denied transcripts, and one who has not settled the account before the next registration is denied grades, transcripts and registration. Outstanding balances must be settled in full to be eligible to register, and, under the undergraduate settlement policy, students who received a 60% scholarship in the previous semester make a first installment of $600 (the standard first payment is $1,100).

Refund policy: students who do not confirm their registration for Fall or Spring are charged 25% of the registered credits; students who confirm are not charged a penalty on condition that they maintain 12 undergraduate credits and/or 3 graduate credits. During the drop and add period 75% of the tuition is refunded, and tuition is not refundable after it. In the summer the policy applies on condition that the student keeps 3 credits. Students who paid the first payment but, for personal reasons, decide not to join NDU are entitled to a refund of the overpayment. A student who re-enrolls in a course, for any reason, does not benefit from financial support for it.

After applying for housing, pay the deposit and 40% of the first semester's fee at the Business Office (returning residents pay 40% with the first payment). The deposit is refunded at the end of the stay minus any damage fines, payment is in cash in USD, and a $100 fine applies to each delayed installment. Parking fees (cash in USD): undergraduate students pay $120 (full-time), $100 (MWF) or $85 (TTH) in Fall and Spring, and $50 in Summer; graduate students pay $50 in Fall and Spring and $50 in Summer.

Scholarships​

University-offered scholarships​

NDU's Admissions page reports that 92% of new students receive financial aid and 79% receive scholarships (no year is given). NDU says that when a student qualifies for several forms of aid the highest percentage is always chosen, yet it describes the Early Admission Scholarship and the Sports Grant as combinable with other aid and reduces the Sibling Grant when a student also holds a scholarship; the 70% cap on total scholarships and aid is stated in the Early Admission section. NDU does not reconcile these statements.

Merit scholarships​

No application is needed for the scholarships upon admission. Send a copy of your official Lebanese, French or Technical Baccalaureate score, or your SAT score, to the Office of Admissions at least one week before the second payment deadline; the Office confirms the award by email (the page does not say how to submit an International Baccalaureate score).

Undergraduate Scholarship conditions: the student has completed 12 credits at NDU (remedial credits excluded), has completed at least 9 credits with letter grades (excluding U and UW) in the previous semester, and is enrolled in 12 credits each semester (9 in the last semester before graduation). No application is needed; the discount appears in the SIS payment details and continues while the credit conditions are met and the cumulative GPA stays above 3.40 (NDU also words the entry threshold as "3.40 and above"). In cases of financial need the percentage can be raised to a maximum of 70% through the Work-Study Grant.

Sophomore applicants are assessed on English proficiency (TOEFL, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, IELTS or NDU's English Entrance Test), Math proficiency (SAT Math or NDU's Math Aptitude Test), secondary school grades and the application form. Applicants who do not submit a valid SAT Math score take the Math Aptitude Test for their field: Mathematics for Science (Engineering, BS Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Actuarial Sciences), Mathematics for Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture), or General Mathematics (all other programs). Sample tests are on NDU's requirements page; NDU suggests reviewing the S2/G11 mathematics program.

High-school grades​

  • Composite score: NDU describes it under Sophomore applicants: they must reach the Composite Score their Faculty requires for the major, which is 55% the general average of the first and second secondary years (S1 and S2) and 45% the SAT Math score or the NDU Math Aptitude Test score. NDU's Faculty Requirements PDF adds that every applicant must meet the Faculty's Math and Composite Score requirements and that remedial courses may be given on admission.
  • Sophomore applicants submit: official secondary school grades for the last three academic years; a copy of the national identity card (Lebanese) or passport (international); one recent passport-size photograph; standardized test scores (TOEFL, SAT or IELTS) if taken externally; and a copy of the Lebanese Baccalaureate Part II or its equivalent, certified by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
  • Freshman applicants also submit an official attestation that all high school requirements are completed and passed, or a copy of the High School Diploma signed by the school; a copy of the Freshman Authorization certified by the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education; and SAT scores at the time of application. Freshman students complete a minimum of 30 credits (9 in Humanities and Social Sciences, 6 in Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and 15 other) and choose the Arts or Science program. On completing the Freshman program, Freshman Science students may declare any major; Freshman Arts students may declare any major except Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Graphics and Animation, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Physics and Chemistry.
  • Transfer and second-degree applicants submit an official undergraduate transcript from the previous institution and a copy of the course descriptions certified by the issuing university; second-degree applicants also submit the bachelor's degree equivalency certified by the Ministry. Teaching Diploma applicants (bachelor's degree holders) submit the identity card or passport, a photograph, the official undergraduate transcript, the certified bachelor's degree equivalency and the certified Baccalaureate Part II or its equivalent.

Ramez G. Chagoury Faculty of Architecture, Arts and Design
No specific requirements. Applicants to the Bachelor of Architecture are given one Math remedial course (MAT103) and one Physics remedial course (PHS101) depending on the Composite Score.
Faculty of Business Administration and Economics
No specific requirements. One Math remedial course (MAT105) is given depending on the Composite Score.
Faculty of Engineering
French Baccalaureate (in S3): a record of at least one Math course and one Science course from Physique-Chimie, Sciences de la vie et de la terre, Numérique et sciences informatiques or Sciences de l'ingénieur (6 hours each). International Baccalaureate (in G12): Math at Higher Level and Physics and another Science at Standard Level (Chemical Engineering: Math at Higher Level and Chemistry at Standard Level). Lebanese Baccalaureate: "Life Sciences and General Sciences" strands, as NDU words it. French and International Baccalaureate holders are given one Math remedial course (MAT112) depending on the Composite Score.
Faculty of Humanities
No specific requirements.
Faculty of Law and Political Science
No specific requirements. To join the Bachelor of Law program (lawyers, barristers, notary publics, civil servants) students must hold the Lebanese Baccalaureate or its equivalent (French and International Baccalaureate) and the Lebanese nationality.
Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences
Depends on the major and the Baccalaureate. Lebanese Baccalaureate: the General Sciences or Life Sciences strand is marked for every major; the Sociology and Economy strand is marked for every major, with remedial courses given for several (for example MAT112 and PHS101 for Physics, MAT112 for Mathematics and Computer Science); the Literature and Humanities strand is marked only for Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science (BIO101 or CHM101 given) and Management Information Systems. French and International Baccalaureate holders need specific Math and Science subjects for most majors, or are given PHS101, BIO101 or CHM101. See the PDF.
Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences
Depends on the major and the Baccalaureate. Lebanese Baccalaureate: every strand is marked for every major, with remedial courses given for some (for example CHM 101 or BIO 101 for Literature and Humanities holders in Nutrition and Dietetics and in Medical Laboratory Technology; CHM 101 and MAT 111 for Literature and Humanities holders in Food Safety and Quality Management). French and International Baccalaureate holders need Math, Chemistry and Biology or Chemistry for most majors, otherwise MAT 111, CHM 101 or BIO 101 is given. Nursing has no specific requirements. Notes from NDU: a student in ENL 105 who scores a B or above passes automatically to ENL 213, and a student in ENL 002 who scores a B or above passes automatically to ENL 110. Students may take or repeat any of the tests to improve their score and reduce the number of English remedial courses. NDU does not say what happens to applicants below the lowest ranges (EET under 40, TOEFL under 54, SAT under 400, IELTS under 5). NDU prints the SAT ranges without naming the section; its requirements page lists the SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing as the accepted English test, and it does not state which TOEFL version the ranges refer to.
